The Village at Rancharrah, fondly known as “Reno’s backyard,” is excited to welcome the community back for its popular Village Summer Concert Series presented by Dolan Auto Group, now entering its fourth year. This cherished weekly event brings together hundreds of locals to enjoy warm evenings filled with live music, connection, and celebration in one of Reno-Tahoe’s most vibrant outdoor destinations. Beginning Wednesday, May 27th and running through Wednesday, September 2nd, friends, families and visitors alike can enjoy live music weekly in the Village courtyard from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.This free weekly event has become a beloved summer tradition in Reno, regularly drawing hundreds of attendees to the Village at Rancharrah. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and settle in for an evening of live music in a relaxed outdoor setting. The concert series offers a mix of local and regional performances across diverse musical styles. Attendees can enjoy the music while grabbing a delicious meal, cool beverage or sweet treat from one of The Village’s many exceptional restaurants and eateries. Step into the world of wine where every bottle tells a story during Wine Uncomplicated, a three-hour class June 11 offered by UNR Extended Studies. Discover the art of vineyard management and harvest, and the transformation from grape to glass. Learn how to decode wine labels, and explore the regions and styles that define celebrated wines.
Enjoy a relaxing evening of free-flowing fine wine by Highway 12 Winery, a riveting talk by a specialist in their field, and the great company of like-minded outdoor lovers while aboard the iconic paddleboat, the Tahoe Gal. Tickets are $60 per person and include the cruise, wine, and a guided program. Dinner is available, with menu items ranging from $12 to $25 (e.g., sandwiches, salads, and small plates). A cash bar will be available. Seats are limited, so a reservation is required. Proceeds benefit the many great works of the Sierra State Parks Foundation. We highly recommend guests arrive at 5:30 pm as the boat leaves sharply at 6 pm! We predict the boat will return to the docks at 8:30 pm.This Month’s Talk:Join the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center for an engaging evening highlighting how science, community participation, and conservation come together to better understand and protect the Lake Tahoe Basin.Education & Outreach Director Heather Segale, Communications Manager Cara Hollis, and Education Programs Manager Alison Toy, will introduce the Citizen Science Tahoe web app and how community members can contribute meaningful data, explore ongoing pollinator research and highlight an exciting new pollinator exhibit for the Tahoe Science Center, and provide updates on TERC forestry research focused on the restoration and protection of high-elevation whitebark pine.Whether you’re a longtime volunteer, a science enthusiast, or simply curious about local research, this presentation offers an accessible look at the science happening right here in Tahoe and how you can be part of it.

Food For Kids, Inc, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operating in Nevada since 1988. We help child and adult daycares receive reimbursement for serving healthy, balanced meals at daycare. We are hosting this golf tournament to fundraise to further support our sponsored daycare sites through programming and equipment to support their mission of serving healthy meals.
The golf tournament will include fun competitions such as furthest from the pin and longest drive, with the opportunity to win exciting prizes. There will also be a silent auction and raffle prizes available.
So come join us at the beautiful Washoe County Golf Course for a fun day of golf, prizes, and competition, and help support a great cause!
